Last updated: September 22, 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how Marisol Garza, M.S., LPC-S ("we," "us," or "our") collects, uses, and protects personal information when you visit marisolgarzalpcs.com (the "Website"), join our email list, or register for a workshop, course, or other training (each a "Program"). This Website is for professional education. It is not used to provide therapy, and we do not collect client health records through it.
Information we collect
Information you give us. When you register for a Program, join our email list, fill out a form, or email us, we collect your name, email address, and anything else you choose to share, such as your professional role, license status, or questions you ask.
Payment information. Payments are handled by third-party payment processors such as Stripe or PayPal. They collect your card or account details directly. We receive only limited details, such as your name, billing address, the last four digits of your card, and the status of your payment. We never see or store your full card number.
Program participation. When you take part in a Program, our course and video platforms record information such as your login activity, lessons completed, and your name, image, voice, and chat messages in live sessions, which may be recorded.
Information collected automatically. When you visit the Website or open our emails, our service providers may collect your IP address, browser and device type, pages visited, referring website, and whether you opened or clicked an email. This is done through cookies and similar technologies.

Even after you unsubscribe, we may still send you messages about a Program you purchased, such as access details or schedule changes.
How we share your information
We do not sell or rent your personal information. We share it only with service providers that help us run our business, and only as needed for them to do so. These include our website host (Squarespace), our course, checkout, and email platform (Systeme.io), our video conferencing platform (Zoom), and our payment processors. These providers handle your information under their own privacy policies. We may also disclose information if required by law, to protect our rights or the safety of others, or as part of a sale or transfer of our business.
Cookies
Our Website and checkout pages use cookies that are needed for them to work, as well as analytics cookies that help us understand how visitors use the Website. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings. Some parts of the Website or checkout may not work properly without them.
How long we keep your information
We keep your information for as long as you have access to a Program or remain on our email list, and afterward as long as needed for legal, tax, and accounting purposes. When we no longer need it, we delete or de-identify it.
How we protect your information
We use reputable service providers that apply industry-standard security measures, and we limit access to your information to people who need it to support you. No method of transmission or storage over the internet is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.
Client information
Please do not send us protected health information or any details that could identify your clients, whether by email, in forms, or in live sessions. When you discuss clinical examples in a Program, remove all identifying details first.
Your choices and rights
You can ask us to access, correct, or delete the personal information we hold about you, or to stop sending you marketing emails. Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights under your state's privacy laws or other laws, such as the right to know what information we collect or to appeal a decision we make about your request. To make a request, email connect@marisolgarzalpcs.com. We will respond within the time required by law, and we will not treat you differently for exercising your rights. We may need to verify your identity before completing your request.
